Hike Caldera de Taburiente
Hiking in the Caldera de Taburiente National Park
A full day of natural attractions awaits us as we hike in La Palma's Caldera de Taburiente National Park. We'll dive into the depths of the giant crater with its unique flora, underground springs, waterfalls, and historical sites.
The guided hike through the impressive Caldera de Taburiente begins at an altitude of 1,081 m, the highest point of our hike. A small road winds up the steep slopes to our starting point. Even the first part of our guided hike through the fantastic landscape down to the floor of the erosion crater is breathtaking. Upon reaching the crater floor, we take a short break to recharge our batteries. We continue down the gorge, overlooked by Idafe, the sacred rock of our ancestors. After a short detour to the Cascada de Colores waterfall, we follow the long riverbed and let the water show us the way out.
