Description
Hiking – Volcano & Bodega
The sun has yet not risen behind the peaks. Half-light invades the exuberant volcanic ash dunes. The hundred-year-old pine forests softly sway their needles to the rhythm of the morning breeze.
We start our hike at 1.000 m and overlooking the Aridane Valley, always descending gently down, first through old volcanic fields, and then through pine trees areas before we find the spectacular and unusual lava flow from San Juan volcano. After a little break near the lava flow, we continue down until we reach Tamanca winery area, the best on the west. Almost at the end of our hike we stop in an old Bodega, where plenty of wine and local food are waiting for us.

Great hike in great landscapes! I found it really exciting to hike on the old lava path. The guides were very familiar with the geology and history we encountered along the way. We also did a little digression in local wine at the end and in the bodega at the end we were allowed to taste old wine and try many locally grown things.
Full recommendation from me!

Tolle Wanderung in tollen Landschaften!
